Sotheby’s International Realty sells Celine Dion’s Florida Estate

It was a veritable bargain at just $38.5 million (USD) and it sold for that figure just this past week.

Celine Dion’s Bahamian-inspired aquatic property resembling a small resort was custom-built in 2010.  In addition to the 10,000 square foot main residence, there are also 5 individual pavilions, an idyllic beach house and a guest house with a combined offering of 13 bedrooms and 14 washrooms.

Outstanding features include a waterpark, complete with a winding lazy river encircling a children’s playground; a tennis house with a simulated golf range (Celine has a passion for the sport); tennis courts; a pool house with an outdoor kitchen/grill; and 3 geothermal swimming pools, one fronting the ocean.  The interiors of all the dwellings are luxurious yet exude an understated elegance.   The abundance of windows in the magnificent, open-concept plan main home frame the scenic views of the ocean surf.

The new owner’s name has not been disclosed but has indicated that the property will be used as a vacation home.
