Oakville Symphony’s 50th Anniversary Performance & Reception

Alex Irish & Associates are proud sponsors of the Oakville Symphony’s 50th Anniversary season! Earlier this November, a very special gala performance took place at Oakville’s Centre for the Performing Arts. Timothy Chooi, who has been described as “the miracle”, was the guest violinist. He is regarded as one of the most promising and exciting young artists in the world! He has performed as a soloist with the Montreal and Toronto Symphonies and at Carnegie Hall. Currently, Timothy’s violin is a 1717 Windsor-Weinstein Stradivarius which is on loan from the Canada Council for the Arts. The Oakville Symphony is truly unique among community orchestras in Canada. Over 80 volunteer musicians plus 11 professionals continue to present exciting and challenging performances under the inspired leadership of Maestro Roberto De Clara.  Following the special anniversary performance on November 4th, Alex Irish hosted a reception for longtime Oakville Symphony patrons and members of the orchestra including the very special guest violinist, Timothy Chooi. The reception was held at Sotheby’s International Realty Canada’s Oakville office which enjoys a close proximity to the Performing Arts Centre.
