The Clearview neighbourhood, established in the 1980s, is located on the eastern border of Oakville and is popular with residents for its convenient access to retail shops in both Oakville and Clarkson as well as commuting. The area enjoys open greenspaces, wooded areas and mature trees and features a wide range of homes including detached 2 storeys, semi-detached, links and freehold townhouses. The housing in this neighbourhood is the most affordable available in the Oakville Trafalgar High School District. Clearview embodies a sense of community through a community alliance group called the Clearview Community Oakville Alliance. This Alliance is instrumental in pulling the neighbourhood families together to address concerns and issues, support social responsibility in the neighbourhood as well as host events to bring the community together on a social level. This community’s boundaries stretch from the QEW to the north, Winston Churchill to the east, Royals Windsor Drive to the south and Ford Drive to the west. This location makes commuting a breeze from this neighbourhood with the QEW, 403 and Go Transit all close by.
Clearview boasts many parks and trails for residents to experience. Enjoy a stroll along Lakeside Park with a great waterfront view and leash free dog park. This park is also the site for two historic buildings – The Old Post Office and the Thomas House, both pioneer properties that are open to tour. Other parks in the area include Clearview Park and Kingsford Gardens with large soccer fields and Bishopstoke Park with Tennis Courts.
At Sheridan Nurseries you will find an enormous covered shopping area with a large selection of both annuals and perennials as well as specialty plants. There is also outdoor nursery stock and plant material including landscape size trees and evergreens. You will also find a 7,000 sq. ft. greenhouse and retail store to meet all your gardening needs.
The Oakville Entertainment Centrum, features a massive Cineplex Cinemas Winston Churchill with 24 theatres as well as great restaurants including Trattoria Timone, Slouvaki Hut, Wild Wings and Demetre Café. Pair all this with some amazing entertainment for people of all ages like The Putting Edge, Dave and Busters and I Fly indoor skydiving.
