2. Frequent events make it easy to get to know your neighbors

Ancaster Village frequently hosts events like the Great Pumpkin Stroll on Halloween, and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Ancaster Old Town Hall.

Townhomes sit right in the middle, with a typical cost of between $430,000 and $579,000, depending on their size.

4. Ancaster Heritage Village is a gem of Canadian history

Ancaster was first founded in 1793, and there are some historic buildings in the Heritage Village that date back to the early 1800s. Ancaster Heritage Days take place every June and celebrate the area’s vibrant history.

5. All your produce needs are taken care of at the weekly Ancaster Farmers’ Market

The Ancaster Farmers Market is open from mid-June to mid-October every year. Vendors from all over the area bring their fresh veggies, fruit, cheese, baked goods, and even wine to sell to friends and neighbours.

7. It’s a highly walkable city

Ancaster is made up of many smaller neighbourhoods like Ancaster Heights, Maple Lane Annex, and Meadowlands of Ancaster. These areas all have amenities close by, making them extremely walkable.
